ASHES, ASHES, ALL FALL DOWN!

So…here we go again….fires everywhere, and ash falling all over town. My car, my trees, my roses, everything in my yard and my house are covered with falling ash from all the fires. One of the fires is quite close to my small town….the closest fire we have seen in many long years. This fire is less than twenty miles to the west and goes over the mountains into one of California’s coastal counties. Another fire is about forty five miles to the east and there are fires south and west of us just north of the bay area. The are also fires south of San Francisco and other places further south. These fires are the result of hundreds of lightning strikes around the mountains this past week and it is horrific. My daughter has told me that the state of Colorado where she lives is also experiencing many fires as the result of lightning strikes.

Tuesday morning, a little after 7:00 AM….this is what our skies looked like when I got up.

This makes me think about all that is going on in our country right now. Political, social and spiritual battles going on from coast to coast, tearing our country apart, and fires and storms in the natural and the supernatural. Can anyone watch all this and not know that we are being tried and tested? Our upcoming elections have become a battlefield between socialism/communism and democracy and yet people are still blind to the realities of the dangers we face. We are having one of the hottest summers on record with a record breaking temperature of 130 degrees in Death Valley. Last Monday there were hundreds…many, many hundreds…of lightning strikes all across the western United States. The east coast is being slammed by hurricanes and currently there are two lined up and coming inland. Nature is echoing the upheavals that are happening in some of our cities.

And in the midst of all this we are all required to wear masks in public because of a virus that has proven to be less than predicted. Even our fire evacuees are being “socially distanced” as they are struggling with having to find places to seek refuge while they wait to be able to return to their homes. Government mandates have caused hundreds, possibly thousands, of small business owners to lose their businesses, which in turn threatens the continued existence of small communities who rely on small businesses to stay viable. Most of these government mandates come from Democrats in our government who want to blame President Trump for all the country’s problems, instead of coming up with solutions to help those they govern. Thousands of innocent babies are murdered every year under the guise of “birth control”; many of those babies fully formed and in the birth process; their bodies cut up, their organs sold. Guess which candidates for upcoming elections support this terrible holocaust and would go even further than that? And they point their fingers at President Trump and call him evil. And now the pedophiles are once again raising their ugly heads and trying to normalize child molestation; even placing ads on social media. Are you okay with the murder of the preborn and being born infants and molestation of the innocent children? If we do not take a stand against these evils, even if we do not approve or participate in them, we will be judged along with those who perpetrate them.

We stand on the ‘Eve of Destruction’. Shall we fall, or shall we rise up and take back what we gave up? Remember: silence is consent. Shall we bow our heads in submission waiting for God to come to our rescue? Or shall we become God’s army in the USA? God is waiting for us to step up and step out. HE gave us the power and authority to act on HIS behalf here on earth.

God said: “If MY people…” II Chron. 7:14….”If MY people…” what? “……seek MY face, repent, humble themselves, pray….

James 4:7 “……resist the devil….” II Tim. 2:3 “Fight the good fight of faith..” Eph. 6:17 “Take….the sword of the spirit…”

God never called His people to be passive; He called us to be warriors. Eph. 6:10-18 “…be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might……put on the whole armor of God…..resist in the evil day…..stand firm…..”

Matt. 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

God is calling His people to rise up, to take a stand, to resist the evil around us…. actively, and to proclaim the Gospel to all the world around us. Maybe He has called you to your family, your neighborhood, your job, your community, your state, whatever or wherever He has established you….now is the time for you to rise up and be bold in the Lord. It may seem small in your eyes, or in the eyes of those around you; but whatever God has called you to do or be, no matter how small or large, no matter what you are…..a janitor or the CEO of a giant corporation, a pastor or an usher….do it unto the Lord and He will work through you to do a mighty work on the earth. Can God use a janitor? Of course He can. I once heard a woman tell how she went into the ladies’ bathroom in a large church she was visiting; she wasn’t feeling well and the woman cleaning the toilets and sinks stopped what she was doing and prayed for her….afterwards she felt much better. To God the janitor is as special as the pastor. We are all important and we all have godly assignments. And if we all submit ourselves to Him in what He has called us to do or be then we can effect a mighty change in our world.

II Cor. 10:4 “For the weapons of OUR warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses…..”

Therefore, in the name of Jesus and by the blood of the Lamb, I declare that America shall not be destroyed, the Church of God is rising up, and we shall retake the land! Victory is ours not because of who we are, but because of who He is within us.

*I do not believe that Democrats are necessarily evil, but I do believe that much of the evil in our government is being done by Democrats who seek to rule and control this nation. Don’t vote for someone just because they are being put forth for election by your party affiliation. Check out the individual and pray and seek God for who He sees as the best candidate for the job.

I was born in California, but both my parents were born in different areas of rural Oklahoma. My father grew up on a small cattle ranch and my mother grew up in the hills of eastern Oklahoma near the Ozark Mts. Both were born in the 1920's when Oklahoma was still more a part of the 1800's than the twentieth century so I like to say I was born of parents who were the last generation born during the old west. Their old west roots had a huge impact on my childhood. I spent the first three years of my life on my Granny's chicken farm. She was my father's grandmother and she owned 60 acres of alfalfa which she rented out and lived on three acres of barnyard where she raised chickens. There was some electricity, but no indoor plumbing outside of a faucet in the kitchen. The toilet was down the boardwalk in a small shed...in other words...an outhouse. The shower was a room under the water tank in the pumphouse. Granny's little three room house was the only painted building on the property. Everything else was raw, unpainted wood including the two room house my parents lived in. And I loved living on that little farm where I pretty much had free run of the barnyard and sometimes even wandered into the fields surrounding it. The town where I was born is along the Colorado River in the middle of the California desert and across the river from the Arizona desert and while we did live there for the first 12 years of my life, we moved a lot due to my father's employment. He was a big equipment operator and we moved to where the work took him, but usually only six months of the year then we moved back to our hometown. We moved to Northern California in 1958 and I have lived here ever since. I am a mother, a grandmother, have one great-grandchild and recently retired. I am divorced and now live with my youngest sister. My sisters and I like to cruise and take road trips. I am enjoying my life.

  1. It was two days later that we left California, and the first 6 hours it looked like this. Very eerie, and depressing. Coming from Senora, going South to the 10 freeway, and then East to Texas. Guess we were still in a good area, because our friends in Davies told us the ashes stuck on the window shield and was lying in the grass. You started blogging at the right time – to have some kind of outlet in the lockdown months. Somehow your name rings a bell, have we exchanged comments before?
